Once upon a time, in the ancient kingdom of Persia, there lived a beautiful young Jewish girl named Esther. She was an orphan, adopted by her cousin Mordecai, who was a wise and kind man.
Esther was a brave and courageous girl, and she was beloved by all who knew her. One day, the King of Persia, Ahasuerus, decided to hold a grand banquet for all the people of his kingdom. He wanted to find a new queen, so he invited all the most beautiful young women in the kingdom to come to the palace and compete for the title.
Esther was chosen to be one of the contestants, and she was taken to the palace to live with the other young women. She was given the best of everything, and she was treated like a princess.
But Esther was not like the other young women. She was a Jew, and she was not allowed to tell anyone about her faith. She was afraid that if the King found out, he would be angry and she would be sent away.
Despite her fear, Esther was determined to be brave and do what was right. She decided to tell the King the truth about her faith, even if it meant risking her life.
When the time came for the King to choose his new queen, he chose Esther. She was beautiful and kind, and he was very pleased with her.
But the King’s advisor, Haman, was not pleased. He was a cruel and wicked man, and he hated the Jews. He plotted to have all the Jews in the kingdom killed.
When Mordecai heard of Haman’s plan, he begged Esther to go to the King and plead for her people. Esther was terrified, but she knew she had to be brave. She put on her royal robes and went to the King.
The King was so moved by Esther’s courage and her plea for her people that he spared them. He ordered Haman to be hanged, and he gave the Jews the right to defend themselves against their enemies.
Esther’s courage and faith saved her people from destruction. She showed that even in the face of danger, one can be brave and do what is right.
The moral of the story is that courage and faith can help us overcome any obstacle. No matter how difficult the situation may seem, we can always find the strength to do what is right.
