Elisha and the Widow\’s Oil

Once upon a time, there was a widow who lived in a small village in Israel. She had two sons, and they were her only source of income. One day, the widow was in a desperate situation. She had no money and no food to feed her sons. She was so desperate that she decided to go to the prophet Elisha for help.

When the widow arrived at Elisha’s house, she told him her story. Elisha was moved by her plight and he asked her what she had in her house. The widow replied that she only had a small jar of oil. Elisha then told her to go and borrow as many empty jars as she could from her neighbors.

The widow did as Elisha said and borrowed as many jars as she could. She then returned to Elisha’s house and he told her to fill each jar with oil from her small jar. The widow was amazed, but she did as Elisha said.

To her surprise, the oil kept flowing from her small jar and filled all the jars she had borrowed. When the jars were full, Elisha told her to sell the oil and use the money to pay her debts and feed her sons.

The widow was so grateful for Elisha’s help that she thanked him and went on her way. She sold the oil and was able to pay her debts and feed her sons.
